Dr. Wu Xiaoxia obtained her doctor degree from Beijing Normal University. Her research interests are Russian literary and translation.

Course goals

This course aims to help students to understand the contemporary Russian literature language style and theme style.

Topics

Topics to be covered in this course include three parts:

Part I Introduction to Russian modern authors, Methods of Study, Methods and Skills of poetry and prose Translation. Two Russian modern political Writers.

Part II Two Russian modern poets

Part III Two Russian modern Prose writers

Assessment

Translation of Russian modern Prose and writing one review article
