Xing Chunli is an Associate Professor of English with interests in literary theories, Australian literature and translation at Beihang University. She has been teaching at Beihang University since March, 1996. During the 2008-2009 academic year, she was a visiting scholar at University of California, Berkeley. Currently she is a Ph.D candidate in Tsinghua University, and a visiting fellow at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. She is now chairing a research project funded by the Australian Government, which is represented by the Australia-China Council. The project focuses on the white-indigenous relationships in Australian novels. She has been the author of some journal articles concerning ESL teaching and Australian Literature. Xing Chunli also shows interests in translation and has rich experience in English-Chinese translation practice.
